When held in a creatures hand, this gold coin vibrates when the holder is within 50 feet of undead.
The coin can detect undead through most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt. The coin must be held in one hand to receive its effects.
The coin has 5 charges. One charge is spent each time undead are detected. The coin's vibrations grow stronger the closer the undead are, and the coin does not stop vibrating until the detected undead are killed, or move more than 50 feet away, or when the coin is released from the holder's hand. A single charge is not fully spent until the coin stops vibrating. Once all charges are spent, the coin becomes a regular non-magic gold coin. It cannot be duplicated or recharged.
