How To Use The Initiative Tracker
Add your characters to the initiative tracker using the provided form. The tracker supports the following stats:
- Player Name
- Character Name
- Initiative
- Marching Order
- Hit Points (HP)
- Max Hit Hitpoints
- Armor Class (AC)
There are separate tabs for Combat, Marching Order and Exploration phases.
When adding a new character, the Initiative Tracker allows you choose which phase to add the character to. You can add the character to an individual tracking list or all three.
Modifying Order and Initiative
If you change a character’s Order or Initiative after they are added to the tracker, you must manually re-sort the list by clicking the “Sort by Initiative” button in the Exploration or Combat tab, or the “Sort by Order” button in the Marching Order tab.
The highest initiative is assumed to go first. The lowest marching order is assumed to be first in line.
Track Marching Order
If you supply an Order number when adding a character to the tracker, they will automatically be added from first order to last. If the party’s marching order uses multiple columns, use the same order number for each PC in the same row. For example, in a two column formation, the first two PCs in the list would both have Order 1. When PCs are in the same row, the row order starts at the top left of the party’s forward motion.
Tips For Using The Initiative Tracker
The active character in Exploration and Combat phases can be tracked in each round by selecting the checkbox to the left of the character’s name.
Hit points and armor class are only tracked on the Combat Phase tab. If a character is injured or healed outside of combat, switch to the Combat Phase tab to record the change in hit points.
If you change a character’s Initiative or Order, you must manually re-sort the character list by clicking the “Sort by Initiative” or “Sort by Order” button in each tab. The active character selection is cleared when you manually sort a list this way.
Saving Your Initiative Tracker Data
The tracker uses your web browser’s local storage to save the RPG Initiative Tracker data. This allows you to pick up where you left off, and it prevents you from losing your tracker data when you close your web browser.
Your current Intitiative Tracker data is only available in the browser you used to create the tracker data. If you use a different device or web browser, your previous save data will not be available.
If you clear your browser cache, saved tracker data may be lost.
